EASF Recognized by African Union as 2nd Best Performing REC/REM for 2025

The Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) is proud to announce that it has been ranked as the second-best performing Regional Economic Community/Regional Mechanism (REC/REM) by the African Union for the year 2025. This recognition follows a thorough AU evaluation of performance, delivery of AU-funded activities, and adherence to standards of transparency, efficiency, and accountability. 

According to the AU’s assessment, EASF demonstrated outstanding effectiveness in implementing AU-funded programmes and maintaining strong financial and operational oversight. This ranking highlights the organization’s growing reputation as a reliable, disciplined, and results-oriented institution within the African Peace and Security Architecture (APSA). 

EASF leadership expressed deep appreciation to all staff whose hard work and professionalism contributed to this achievement. The recognition, they noted, reflects the collective dedication of personnel who continue to ensure that EASF meets its mandate in promoting peace, security, and stability across the Eastern Africa region.
