EASF Civilian Focal Points Acquire New Skills
The EASF Civilian component held a National Focal Point (NFP) Training at Severin Hotel, Mombasa from 13 – 16 May 2014.
The training was attended by National Focal Points from Burundi, Comoros, Kenya, Rwanda, Seychelles, Somalia, Sudan and Uganda.
The aim of the training was to equip the Civilian NFPs with knowledge and skills on roster verification and validation techniques that ensures a functional civilian database is in place by end of 2014. Further, the training was to acquaint the NFPs on the activity plan and highlight their roles and responsibilities in achieving the objectives for the year.
The training was conducted by High level subject matter expertise drawn from the region as well as ZIF Rostering Expert. The lead of the delivery team was Dr. Wariara a former Chief of Civil Affairs from UNAMID.
The training was highly relevant and timely considering the objective of EASF in attaining Full Operational Capability by 2014.
It was supported financially and technically by GIZ.
