EASF's Leadership Holds Talks with CJTF-HOA

After the successful completion of EASF's Policy Organs' Meetings on 18th January, the EASF top management, together with other senior members of staff, held a meeting with the Combined Joint Task Force Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA) in Djibouti on 20th January 2018.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss ways of collaboration between EASF and CJTF-HOA on matters relating to peace, security and stability in the Eastern Africa Region.

The CJTF-HOA mission is conducting operations in the Combined Joint Operations Area to enhance partner nation capacity, promote regional security and stability, reduce conflict and protect U.S. and coalition interests. The key Operations Area includes Djibouti, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Kenya, Seychelles, Somalia and Sudan. Outside this Combined Joint Operating Area, the CJTF-HOA has rolled out many programs in Mauritius, Comoros, Liberia, Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania.

The EASF Team included the Director, Dr. Abdillahi Omar Bouh, the Head of Peace Operations' Department, Brigadier Albert Kendagor, the Head of Administration and Finance, Colonel Leterbrah Kahsay, the Force Commander, Brigadier Gen. Alaadin Osman Mirghani and the Military Assistant to the Director, Lieutenant Colonel David Chesire.
