Nairobi, Kenya – The Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) in partnership with the Africa International University (AIU) held a successful commemoration of the International Day of Peace on October 5, 2024, at the AIU campus. This year’s theme, "Cultivating a Culture of Peace: Youth and Climate Change," emphasized the critical roles that dialogue and understanding play in conflict resolution and the importance of youth in fostering peace and environmental protection.
East Africa Standby Force Conducts Evaluation Exercise in Kenya
The Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) conducted a comprehensive evaluation exercise to assess the readiness of Kenya's civilian and military components for potential deployment. EASF Concludes Logistics Map Exercise Training in Addis Ababa
ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia - The Logistics Map Exercise Training (MAPEX CONDUCT), which began on September 19, 2024, at the Logistics Base Training Center, is set to conclude tomorrow, September 27, 2024. This initiative, funded by the African Peace and Security Architecture (APSA), represents a collaborative effort between APSA and the Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF).
EASF Launches Counter-Terrorism Syllabus Development Workshop
NAIROBI, Kenya - On September 23, 2024, Brigadier General Stephen Kashure, Joint Chief of Staff of the East African Standby Force (EASF), officially inaugurated a workshop aimed at developing a counter-terrorism syllabus at the International Peace Support Training Centre (IPSTC) in Karen, Nairobi.
