EASF Maritime Command Post Exercise "Bahari Salama 1" Enters Day Two
DJIBOUTI, October 8, 2025 – The Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) has entered the second day of its Maritime Command Post Exercise, codenamed Bahari Salama 1, currently being conducted in Djibouti. The exercise is based on a fictional scenario set in the Republic of Carana, a notional country used to simulate a complex maritime security environment.

The event was held under the patronage of the Chief of Staff of the Djiboutian Armed Forces, General Zakaria Cheikh Ibrahim, marking a significant milestone in EASF’s operational readiness and regional maritime security cooperation.
