National Defence College of Oman Visits EASF Secretariat

A delegation of seventeen civil and military officers from the National Defence College (NDC) of the Sultanate of Oman paid the EASF Secretariat a visit on 20th March 2018 in Karen, Nairobi, Kenya.

The delegation from Oman was led by the Assistant Commandant of the College, Brigadier Mohammed Al Saifi. The visit was intended to provide an avenue of understanding the dynamics of EASF, especially in matters pertaining to its key mandate of preparing and rolling out Peace Support Operations in the region and beyond.

Welcoming the delegates at the Secretariat, the Director, Dr. Abdillahi Omar Bouh conveyed his regards to the leadership of the National Defence College and people of the Sultanate of Oman for the engagement with the regional peace-keeper. During the better part of the afternoon, a series of presentations and briefings on the workings of the organization were made, providing a clear depiction of the path EASF has walked to the present date, ever since its inception.

Brigadier Saifi, who was appointed the Assistant Commandant of the NDC on 11th December 2017, is a distinguished military officer and joined the Royal Army of Oman on 14th July 1985.
