EASF Concludes Staff Induction Program

The Eastern Africa Standby Force successfully brought its 3-day Staff Induction Program to a close on 26th August 2020. The program, which was rolled out on 24th August, was meant to give incoming officers a soft landing as they undertake their duties within the Standby Force.

The closing ceremony at the EASF Secretariat was led by the Director, Brig. Gen. Getachew Shiferaw Fayisa.

At the same time, a similar Induction Program came to a close at the Force Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Among the new personnel who absorbed this program was the new Force Commander, Brig. Gen. Vincent Gatama from the Republic of Rwanda.

EASF regularly rotates its staff positions among its 10 Member States in line with its Staff Rotation Matrix.
